Brand New Ride.

| Posted in My Life |

1

Finally I can grab hold of a new car. A sweet sweet ride. Well, wen harn was the first to sit my new ride. He took his DSLR and start snapping pictures.

It’s a honda civic 1.8 litre only. Not as powerful as 2.0 litre. But the difference is a tiny bit only. Civic has transform more into a sporty type of car which has a sensitive steering along with a fast pick ups. This car is getting more and more common on the road. So, having this car is really not a big deal. Hope you guys enjoy this post.

don’t ask why the steering is like this, I was turning a corner

We stopped at wen harn’s house to have some photo shoot with my car. I know this is very syok sendiri, but this is a brand new car. I can’t resist it. xD

love my car with my trademark on it

To repay wen harn’s kindness of borrowing wen hoi’s DSLR again, I snap a few pictures of him and going to post it here.

How Malaysians get together??

| Posted in My Life |

Have you ever wonder how malaysians unite together??

Well, malaysians have a tradition of eating indian rojak and cendol along the road side. Although the way the prepare the food may seem dirty, but who cares. The food is still delicious. So far no one complaint about food poisoning.

While malaysians are enjoying rojak and cendol along the road side, they seem to get to know each other. Chit-chatting and talk about some politics or something that might interest among themselves.

‘kosong’ does that mean empty plate is rm3
best cendol in ss15?? Fyi, there is only 1 cendol stall in ss15.

I just ordered the rojak that I’ve never tasted for ages.

this is what i’ve been missing
the best part in the rojak, crispy at the outside, soft in the inside

The taste of rojak along with the cendol really brings back my childhood memories.

Bak Kut Teh

This post is the continuation of the previous post. I just received the pictures from wen harn today. Sorry for the delay.

It was evening after we finish our badminton game. We were all exhausted and of course very hungry. After long hours of deciding where to have dinner, suddenly the word ‘bak kut teh’ breeze through my mind. It has been almost 10 months since I had my bak kut teh. Since everyone obliged my decision, off we go to bak kut teh.

In the car, everyone was really tired and just kept quite for a while. We can hear each and everyone’s stomach grumbling and craving for bak kut teh. To keep us occupied, wen harn took out the camera and start snapping pictures.

cute rui ting
she knows the camera is aiming her
sexy rui ting(someone better appreciate this picture)

Me and wen harn tried to persuade adrienne to pose like sexy rui ting. Unfortunately, I made up some funky noise and made her laugh like this:

after all, it’s not that bad

We had a great time snapping photos in the car and we forgot that were actually still hungry. Once our brain reminded us that we need food, we finally reached :

yu kee bak kut teh in ss14

Best bak kut teh I had in town. But you can’t compare this with klang’s bak kut teh, it’s like 2 different things. Rui ting said she’s gonna bring us to the best bak kut teh restaurant in klang. Sold out every single thing in just 2 hours, imagine the desperateness of bak kut teh lovers.

rui ting and adrienne
wen harn trying to pose like adrienne in the car

It’s been a long time since I had bak kut teh. So I forgot how big the portion of bak kut teh we suppose to order according to our eating ‘power’. I ordered a portion of 4 people with additional vegetable and some tau fu that adrienne wanted.

When the bak kut teh came, it was humongous. I totally forgot rui ting and adrienne are not big eaters like me and wen harn. Well, we are not really that big eaters like someone who claims that he can finish 11 bowls of rice. It’s just that we were really exhausted and hungry.

When all the food just came, I was the first to dive into the humongous pool of bak kut teh and started filling my stomach. Everyone followed and we really enjoyed the taste and atmosphere of a bak kut teh restaurant.

We ate until we sweat all out again as if we were playing badminton again. All of us just ate as fast as possible.

notice her hand is the clearest part, I focused on the wrong part.xD

We almost finish the bowl of bak kut teh and everyone was really filled up. We can barely walk properly. After all the calories burnt from the badminton, we ate everything back again as if we did not play badminton at all. What a waste but it was really fun spending time together.

just look at rui ting and see how she look like after eating

It was really an exhausting day for us and we still have class the next day. Another day has just passed by.

Today we had our physics practical paper 31. Well, I think I did quite well because I’m able to finish everything. All I need to do is wait for the results.

We had earlier planned on playing badminton after our practical. Thanks to wen harn, we are unable to play in jaya square which is a very nice place to play because all the courts are fully booked. Fyi, it’s a high school holiday season now. Finally we headed to subang racket to play badminton.

As usual we let the ladies to play first, playing with me and wen harn i mean. xD. We warmed up and realised how sucky we have became after a long time of missing in action.

Now it’s time to be a photographer, I told the girls to play as usual and ignore me. Guess what came out:

end up posing

sweet smile

The weird thing about this picture above is that she just kept on laughing and giggling at the same time while playing badminton. I told her to concentrate and guess where she hit the shuttlecock.

It went through my face and end up behind my back just like this. Rui ting still can smile for her ‘nice’ move.

adrienne

John came all the way from sri hartamas to play badminton with us. He’s such a nice guy, came from so far just to play with us. It’s been a few months since we met. So we talked a lot about guys stuff and girls stuff. That’s us.

We had a man to man match and it was tough. We all were almost the same level so we had quite a competition. Most of us were lacking of stamina and were struggling to finish the game. Playing 3 sets in a row was not easy. Fortunately John manage to keep up.

john

wen harn and his so called ‘sexy’ legs

We all have watched the Lin Dan and Chong Wei’s match. During the game,we always follow the way they hit and move and even the way when they wanted to change the shuttlecock. At least we had the chance to experience the olympic games. Memang syok sendiri. xD

that was a smash by john
me trying to return with a back hand

All of us had our own wins and lost. It was really fun catching back badminton with my classmates.

John suggested that we try playing table tennis next time or maybe this weekend. Well, hope you guys look forward for that post.

Taylors’ Dance Arena 2008!!

Taylors’ Dance Arena 2008 was the first biggest event held in Taylors by Taylors’ students!! I did not know about this event until 3 days ago kah tim told me to blog about this event. I went to check it out on the notice board and notice all the big sponsors. This is gonna be big.

In the afternoon the stage was already set up. The stage alone with the lightnings are amazing and huge. It looks like some kind of outdoor club.

When we (me, hazel and wen harn) arrived taylors’ they said that the gate is only open by 7.15pm but the ticket says 6pm. We were kinda pissed off by their timing until we heard the sound test was really loud and solid. We were so excited!!

Since we haven’t ate our lunch, we decided to go to asia cafe to have our dinner. We saw many fimiliar faces in asia cafe.

hazel

rui ting

Everyone was watching the Malaysia VS Korean in the Beijing Olympics for badminton. The atmosphere of the crowd was really tense and ‘kan cheong’. Everytime Chong Wei scored 1 point, the crowd cheers loudly as if chong wei can hear us from beijing. When the korean scored, the crowd ‘booed’ him.

look at their tense faces

malaysia won!!! I was expecting everyone to stand up. Sigh

Malaysia won!!! Finally Chong Wei got into the finals. Wish that he could get a gold medal for malaysia and we can have a day off!

It’s time to go in. I cannot believe they actually hired bouncers to guard the entrance. They make this event such a big deal. Everyone was so packed and so hot at the entrance and no one could get in. Argh!!! They only allow 5 by 5 to enter, how sucky is that.

it took us like 20 minutes to get in

the schedule for the night

10 teams battling for the grand prize

me and hazel

I saw Liang was getting ready for the night because he is going to be the emcee. After a short conversation with him, we realised that we both are in the same church and same cell. What a coincidence. xD. By the way, Liang is currently a popular malaysian aritst.

liang and me
me, hui li, xin yee and leanne

The environment was really dark and smoky. Suddenly I saw a really familiar face of my long lost friend and I called her name. She just don’t know who am I and just ignored me. I called her name twice and she finally remembered me!! She apologised to me badly because she cannot regonise me and just ignored me for a while.

I’m glad to see her.

hui xian and me

Now, let’s get to business. The event was started with liang as the emcee introducing the event along with all the sponsors for this event.

Liang as the emcee for the night

These are the judges for the competition. Well, I don’t really remember their names but I do remember Chris in the yellow shirt. The rest I’m not sure who they are. xD. Sorry.

The battle begins with ‘Hazard Minors’. They are just some kids from high school shuffling on stage. This is college not high school. Shuffling won’t impress us.

The worst part is that, they have a real fat boy in the middle shuffling and he looks like he was just bouncing on stage. The crowd booed them badly. They thought dancing is just about shuffling, they are wrong!

hazard minors

In conclusion, they sucked big time. Sorry kiddos.

The next team was Zero Degrees Celsius. They are a team of 6 girls. They seemed small to me. I assumed they are from high school too. But guess what? They are pretty impressive and the crowd cheered loudly for them. Their team actually hyped up the whole crowd after the disappointment from hazard minors.

One thing you have to look closely in the team is their clothing. Look the first 3 pictures I took and guess how many shirts they took off during their dance.

first it’s white jacket

then it’s red top
lastly it’s green and yellow

What are they going to take off next after everything?

After having a short conversation with 1 of the dancers in zero degrees celsius. I realised that they are all 18 years old. I guess my hypothesis were wrong. Sorry guys. Well, the girl on the pyramid seemed really impressive and it gives me the impression that she is a cheerleader. Cheerleading and dancing do blend together. xD

The second team was Explosion OST. Their dance is basically very classic and has a few ballet elements. I really love their dance but I don’t get it. Why they did not won anything. Since I like their team so much, I’m gonna post extra pictures of them. xD

Explosion OST

This is a video of their practice. It’s the only way to watch their full dance.

Now is the goodies give a way slot. Liang was giving away 3 free T-shirts and let’s see how desperate people are for free goodies.

They were asked to dance with Liang.

Liang looked so happy and proud

now he’s trying to be a pole

This girl in black was dancing her ass out and enjoying herself at the same time. Maybe she wants the shirt badly.

The crowd and Liang was really impressed and finally she won it.

Dance Arena invited Prem and Jules from fly FM to the event to be the co-emcees for the night. Even though I’m a loyal listener of JJ and Rudy from Hitz.FM, they are still pretty cool and entertaining emcees.

liang, prem and jules

Next team was Dua Coopang. Although their name sounds like a malay name but all the dancers were chinese. I like their spirit when they dance. They were so in the mood to give their best shot.

Dua Coopang

This dance team is called Two Left Feet. I got nothing much to comment about their dancing. The photos might explain everything.

Two Left Feet

it looks like he doesn’t want to get off her leg

Since it’s a college dance arena. There sure is some 18sx dance on stage (18sx doesn’t refer to nude dancing). Well this group showed the crowd what they are really made of. They are Glosz.

Glosz (looks like the girl in mini skirt can’t wait to show off her ass)

Well, I can’t possibly post up all 10 dancing teams here. So I’m gonna cut off a few parts which is not really entertaining.

Next we have………Cookie Monster!!! The name cookie monster is really cute. They combined many elements in their dance which I don’t really know because me myself is not a dancer at all. I’m a pure lousy dancer and I can’t dance.

Cookie Monster

Fly FM DJ, Prem and Jules was giving away 2 return tickets from thailand either for a couple or a single male and female. The crowd insisted on giving away the tickets to a single male and female. Both the winners better thank the crowd if they got hooked up. Who knows?

These are the 7 bachelors trying to grab a return ticket from thailand.

Their challenge was that whoever dance the like dexter the most wins. Dexter is from smk subang utama and he is a great break dancer. He is kind enough to give those dancers the easy move.

Mali

After the challenge, bryan and mali had a battle against each other for the ticket. the result was pretty obvious. Bryan got trashed badly by mali. Well, he did his best. Mali is going thailand.

Now lets see who’s going to be mali’s girl.

jia wei showing off her dance movement

these girls really are hype, wonder what might happen their pants tore?
‘ I don’t need a man’ says her shirt.

The winner for the challenge was the girl in black pants. She really can dance and showed something that cannot be shown in public. Lucky mali. xD

Now, I present you, Taylors’ dance team, Sins!! The performance dance by Sins was more of a story of a girl leaving his man.Their story line actually impressed 1 of the judge. He said he was touched by the story. May be he gone the dance reminded of his past.

Finally 10 teams are done and the competition is over. It’s time for the judge to decided who’s going home with rm2000++ cash.

In the mean time, Liang has a game for the crowd. He pulled up a few girls along with 2 guys on stage to entertain the crowd while the judge was deciding. Practically the girls have to dance on stage which some of them don’t know how to dance. Pity them.

unlucky hazel on stage, thanks to me.xD

The 2 guys aren’t as lucky as the girl. They have to do push ups with 3 girls sitting on them each. This wasn’t so hard. Hey, they get to experience this once in their life time. I wish I were them. By the way, notice that the middle girl on their right was wearing a mini skirt.

She actually flashed off her undies. Many female photographers instead of male photographers quickly snap her undies. One of them was the girl who won the trip to thailand.

It’s price giving ceremony time now. All the team were holding their hands tight because the result are about be out. Before Liang gave away the result, everyone was shouting like mad and cheering for their favourites. This is getting sweet.

ying xian and jia wei

Third prize goes to ‘ Two Left Feet’!!

Second Prize goes to ‘ Dua Coopang ‘.

And the champion for tonight’s dance arena 2008 is ‘ Cookie Monster ‘ !!!

They deserve it

Now is the time everybody is waiting for. All the way from Miami, DJ of Euphoria in sunway lagoon resort. He is Patrick Oliver! He’s gonna be the DJ for the dance floor till 12am. Everybody just jumped up the stage and start dancing all the way till midnight.

Patrick Oliver

I would like to thank wen harn and his brother, wen hoi for borrowing me his Nikon DSLR for the night. Without them, my blog wouldn’t have these HD pictures. Thanks wen harn and wen hoi.

And not to forget, I would like to thank En Lin for helping me taking some photos along with the editing features. Thank En Lin.

By the way, I only post the videos that are eligible to be in my blog and sorry for all the short videos because I did not prepare a bigger memory card for recording videos.

p.s: readers, please thank lisa for asking me to record some videos of the dance because I wouldn’t thought of taking videos. xD.

p.s: dancers from cookie monster, explosion ost, zero degrees celcius, dua coopang. Do email me your contacts (msn) or drop by your contacts in the comments for future blogging events. Thanks.
