The Actual Situation.

From my recent post, my pictures were published in The Sun. From what you guys have read, they did not gave any credits to me and Sandra Wong. So this morning I got a call from the person in charge of submitting the photos to The Sun. She apologised to me and gave a clearer situation regarding this issue. Here’s the actual situation.
I was asked to send my unwatermarked photos for selection because they needed some photos to be published along with the article about the Quiksilver and Roxy Showcase. My pictures were passed around and the middle person accidently left out the source of the photos. Therefore The Sun did not have any information about the source of the photos and the article were to be published as soon as possible. So they published the photos without any credits given.
In conclusion, The Sun did not steal my photo. This is just some miscommunication between the people in charge. Thank you to all my readers that supported me regarding this issue.

ooh.. somehow.. somehow it got dropped and they need it asap.
sounds more like a drama than something believable of that “somehow”.
But if the proper credits are given later, it does not matter after all.
its already been published…lol..it doesnt matter anymore..xD…as long im fine with it..its ok..xD
And here’s the original statement:
Dear ******,
Our investigation shows that the photographs which we published were
supplied by the brand merchandiser. theSun was not informed who took the
photographs and thus did not credit them. We assumed that the
merchandiser, which we understand had a separate arrangement with
independent photographers including bloggers, had the rights to the
photos. Our laspse was in not checking the source/s.
I hope this clarifies the issue to your satisfaction. The explanation
thus absolves theSun of any plagiarism claim. I hope that you will put
up our explanation on your blog to clear our name.
Regards and thanks

its the truth lar..i got a direct call from them telling me d situation…xD
so not organized eh..

oh wells ~
miscommunication is a whole load of bullshit, if they’re responsible being a big firm, they would actually post up an apology to save themselves some face. all they bother is their name, and they didn’t even give an apology. whatever it is, protect your photos, don’t get exploited. sometimes they think they’re smart, but you can outsmart them. if a whole big load of smart ass were running the firm, they wouldn’t have made such blunders.
Haha.. Well a little miscommunication can sometime leads to unwanted arguements but good thing you were kind enough in this context!! Coolies!
yeah..its just a miscommunication mah..nobody’s fault..just dont wanna make it worst…xD
glad to see both parties were mature in their actions and settled it without any need for more childish actions and accusations
The conflict is well dealt with. Thumbs up!
I’m sure it’s only a misunderstanding, but bear this in mind in the future. If you do freelance work for the Star i’m sure it’s fine to let other papers use ur photos. But check what contract you’re given and make sure you don’t give out your photos before making sure all procedures are done correctly.
hh. amazing ))
I know nothing about it
lol…its not a big deal..so yeah…its long time ago..xD
