Few weeks back, I received an email from My Partners regarding a DJ workshop in Mist Club, Bangsar. I always wanted to learn a few basics about DJ music because I love listening to them. Many people around us listen Club Musics because it gets them into the mood to dance in the club. DJ Club musics isn’t just about getting you in the mood to dance, it’s a skill where DJs went through the hard way to produce those kinda music which we all enjoy it.
The purpose of the workshop was teach us how they produce theirs songs and why they did it their way. I was kinda excited about it because I finally get to play the beat for fun. Guess what, I was the only blogger there. LoL. The rest of them went to the Blackberry Xpax event in Barcelona. I prefer not to join the crowd.
They invited DJ Gabrielle and DJ Blastique for the workshop. It’s the first time I met them both and to be honest, I personally don’t know any DJ. This might be the right time to get to them and ask them about DJ musics.
DJ Gabrielle is one of the best DJ in the world. From what I heard, he’s very well known in Miami. Being well known as a DJ in Miami isn’t easy at all. And from what he told us in the workshop, he really is good. His remixed the song “Boom Boom Pow” by the BEP, it was awesome.
This is DJ Blastique. He represents Ableton for this workshop. Ableton is a company that sells softwares like what it has shown on the photo. I had no idea what was that. All I know it can produce awesome sound. DJ Blastique is more on live mixing where he does his skills live. Which means his fingers and hands are gonna get pretty busy when the music starts. By the way, you can check out their website at www.ableton.com.
Aunty Wong and Caryn Low.
I learned a lot of stuff from that workshop and I did not know I have a software something similar to them. I can’t wait to play the beat at home.
Besides that, there’s gonna be an event titled “M.C.Asia Music Factory” organised by Global Sound Masters whereby there will be a main DJ workshop during the day and a party during the night, both by DJ Preach and Marcel Wood!!! If you want the party tickets stay tune!!

After all the party and the results were out. Derek Yap and Amanda Choe was the Ruumz most wanted people in the finalist. The results were kinda shocking but who cares when everyone was having fun.
Derek Yap has personality and he deserves the prizes not prize. Haha. You cannot imagine how much he won that day.
From left Jenny, Ellie, Derek and Me.
They had the after party celebration and me and Jenny wasn’t in the mood to stay there any longer. Since we were kinda hungry, we headed to Mac D for some supper.
Mac D is one of the best choice to have supper. Haha.

I did not know my very own friends were the finalist for this contest. I’m so outdated. LoL.
Joey G was the emcee for the night and I’m seeing him quite often lately for all the events I attended. I can’t wait to see what has the contestants prepared for us.
Ellie Chee sang a song and her voice ain’t that bad. If I’m not wrong, she was the only contestant that dares to sing a song. Awesome!
Amanda Choe, she downed a cup of beer in 8 seconds!!! Even I can’t do that. Haha
Kingston Liu read an essay in many many different ascends from Japanese to Scottish to Indian. He even mixed up some of it. Haha.
Derek Yap was raping on stage and he said he only got the script the night before. Haha. Anyway, good try Derek. We all still love you after what had happened that night. Hahaha. I shall not say it here. xD
Here’s a video of the performances and hope you guys love it.

Finally I have reached the final post in the month of July.
On the 31st of July, the very last day of July. I attended the Ruumz Most Wanted Finalist at The Loft Upstairs. It’s the day they select the winner for the contest where the contestants have to present something interesting on stage. I never attended any previous Ruumz events and I would say this is the first time. I don’t know what going on and who’s the finalist.
All I know that someone is going home with a happy face with hell lotsa prizes. After loitering around the club, I saw a backdrop!!!
Me and Niki Cheong. He was one of the judge throughout the whole contest.
Me and Jenny
Amanda Choe, Niki and Ellie
Derek Yap and Ellie
More photos coming up. And finally I made a video of the event!!

I’m still stuck in my July post. Haha. Seriously I’m like way behind time.
Last July, I had to go to Help University College to settle some media stuff. I asked Cynthia and Pik Yen to join me along since they had to settle some university application too.
After that, we headed to Delicious, One Utama for some tea time because we were hungry too.
Earl Grey Tea
I think this is the Banana Caramel Cake. Damn nice ler.
The Traditional English Tea Set.
Cynthia and Pik Yen
I was bloated after I had everything on the plate. It may seems little but it really did filled my tummy. xD

The post about the launch of Envy Club is never ending. Too many photos, too many urgent post and not enough time. Haha. After Shawn’s beat box performance, they took us on a mini tour around Envy Club and guess what. They have their very own Nintendo Wii in the club!! I think this is the very first club that has a Nintendo Wii. I assume people will get drunk and play Wii to get high instead of dancing. Haha
While we were all chatting around, I noticed Envy Clubs has a lot of beautiful lights. Beautiful lights + Clubs = Slow Shutter.
Isn’t that awesome. Haha. Leonard Chau the manager of this club was surprised that how we made use of the mini torch they gave us. Haha. Bloggers + Photographer = Anything is Possible with Lights
