Italian Food at Lygon Street

Finally I have some time to settle down and blog about my Aussie trip. I’m gonna skip my posts about Adelaide and head straight to Melbourne!

I just love the smell of the city in Melbourne and the atmosphere of highly dense multi-cultural population. Everything was in a faster pace now compared to Adelaide. I met a lot of new friends here through Harn and it makes my trip in Melbourne even more exciting. One of the night, we headed to Lygon Street to have Italian food at Corretto for Pinky Tham’s farewell dinner because she was heading back to Malaysia.

It was a rather fun dinner that I enjoyed during winter and with the people around me to laugh with. By the way, I gained so much weight already!!! LoL

Next post, road trip to Mount Dandenong. Fantasize the photo with your wildest imagination and you will get the picture.

It’s just a simple between me and my parents. Something tells us that we have to eat in pizza uno. Haha. We didn’t ate much but still we ate something light. Guess what happened later.

In the restaurant, they have this real huge traditional non-electrical oven specially made to make fantastic pizza. It’s a semi sphere shape and it’s made of clay I think. I’m not really sure about that. But it looks like a one sided boob to be with a connecting tits as the exhaust pipe. Haha. Have a look.

Aglio Olio Pasta

So this is what happened that night. As I was browsing the menu, I wanted to order something not too heavy because it was a late dinner. So I saw something like smoked salmon, chiken, mushroom on bread. I thought it was like a medium portion of sandwich. When it appreared on my table, I was like #$%#$^%$^.

It doesn’t have to be that mini right, someone’s hungry!! Say lar in the menu, bruschetta!!

After dining in that restaurant, I rate it 6.5/10. The reason I rate it 6.5 was not because I was served bruschetta instead of a sandwich. The main reason was because they took a long time to serve our food when the restaurant was full house.

To Pizza Uno’s boss,

Upgrade your productivity, don’t keep your hungry customers waiting for their food.

After the appetizer came out for 5 minutes, my dad just thought of pizzas and so he ordered the special Enzo Dante pizza. In just 5 minutes, his pizza flew out of the kitchen door and landed on our table. It was the fastest pizza I ever seen in my life.

Ok, I’m gonna say something about this sticky date pudding. It’s the best dessert I ever had in my whole life. Serious shit, no joke. It may look simple but the taste was awesome. Omg, it can cause your taste buds to have diabetes. Haha. It was served warm with chilled vanilla ice cream. Once you had it in your mouth, everything just melt in your mouth. It’s a must to try it!!

After the dinner, all I can say that the desserts are the best part and the best among all I ever tried. Haha. My mom just kept quiet when I asked her whether the food was nice or not. Cannot judge the restaurant by it’s amount of customer.

There you go, Buonasera!!

It was an usual weeknight for us to have a family dinner. This time we did know where were we heading for dinner. So I suggested an Italian restaurant strongly recommended by Harn. When we arrived there, there were no one in the restaurant.

First impression from my mom was that she said the food must be terrible that no one can come. My first impression, the locals don’t know how to enjoy Italian food as the housing area around that area were built very long ago. This applies to the locals to. xD

Before I forget, the head chef of the restaurant was Enzo Dante. He is a very experience and professional chef. So we started off with some appetizer he recommended to us.
